Patta Chitta

Patta Chitta is important land record document in Tamil Nadu that confirms property ownership and provides important details about the land.

  • Patta is the ownership record. It contains the landowner’s name, survey number, land area, and type of land (wet or dry).
  • Chitta is the land revenue record. It shows the classification of land and confirms whether it is agricultural or non-agricultural.

When used together, Patta Chitta records help confirm land ownership and are required for loan applications, property sales, building permissions, and land registration. They also help reduce ownership disputes and make sure the property is legally recorded under the rightful owner’s name.
